Refund & Return Policy

1. Overview

This Refund & Return Policy outlines the conditions under which Buyers may request refunds or returns for products purchased through the Ahidaho platform. Our goal is to ensure fair transactions while protecting both Buyers and Sellers.

2. Refund Eligibility

You may be eligible for a refund in the following circumstances:

  • Product received is significantly different from the listing description
  • Product received is damaged or defective
  • Wrong product was delivered
  • Order was not delivered within the guaranteed delivery window
  • Seller cancels the order after confirmation

Refunds are NOT available for: change of mind after delivery, products used or altered after receipt, perishable goods after delivery, or custom/made-to-order items.

3. Cash on Delivery (COD) Rules

For COD orders, you may inspect the package upon delivery before making payment. If the product is visibly damaged or incorrect, you may refuse delivery and no payment is required.

Once you have paid the Rider and accepted delivery, refund requests must go through the standard refund process described below.

4. Return Timeline

Return requests must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery through the Platform. After submitting a request, you must ship the product back within 5 business days.

Products must be returned in their original condition, with all packaging, tags, and accessories. Products that show signs of use, damage, or tampering after delivery will not be eligible for a refund.

5. Refund Process

  3. 3Our team reviews your request within 24-48 hours
  4. 4If approved, return instructions are provided
  5. 5Product is inspected upon return
  6. 6Refund is processed within 5-7 business days

6. Return Shipping Costs

If the return is due to Seller error (wrong item, defective product, inaccurate listing), the Seller bears the return shipping cost. If the return is for any other eligible reason, the Buyer bears the return shipping cost.

Return shipping arrangements will be coordinated through the Platform.

7. Refund Methods

Refunds are processed via the original payment method. For COD orders, refunds are issued to the Buyer's mobile money account. For mobile money orders, refunds are returned to the original mobile money number.

Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider (typically 3-7 business days).

8. Disputes

If a Buyer and Seller cannot agree on a return or refund, Ahidaho's support team will mediate the dispute. Our decision is final and binding for transaction amounts under 50,000 XOF.
